Manu Bhaker won seven gold in National Championship
TS Divya became champion in the air pistol
Karnataka's 27-year-old TS Divya has become the new national champion in the 10m air pistol.
She won the gold by defeating Sanskriti Bana of Uttar Pradesh 16-14 in a tough fight in the final of the 65th National Championship being played in Bhopal. Ridm Sangwan of Haryana won bronze. Divya has played basketball for Karnataka. Manu Bhaker won a total of seven gold in this championship.
Olympian Manu Bhaker, who topped the qualifying round with a score of 583, won gold in the junior category. She defeated Isha Singh 17-13 in the final. He also won gold in the senior and junior categories for Haryana. Earlier Manu had won four gold in the 25m pistol.
Manu Bhaker won a total of seven gold in this championship. Rhythm beat Sanskriti to win gold in the youth category. London Olympics silver medalist Vijay Kumar won the 25m center fire pistol gold with a score of 583.
